As a new listener to OrβIT I have had their previous releases on repeat. Their music always reminds me of a mixture between early BTS and GOT7. I also love Christmas songs so have been anticipating the release of Xmas time.

“Xmas-time,” written by member June, is everything you want from a Christmas song— starting off gently and very quickly moving into a tune that makes you want to get up and dance.

With festive bells and a catchy beat this song embodies the Christmas spirit with a mixture of English and Japanese lyrics. The song blends ORBIT’s unique style with a second-gen K-pop feel.

With their amazing vocals and a timeless melody, I can see this song being played every Christmas for years to come.

The B-Side to the single is the beautiful ballad ‘LIVING DREAMING,’ written by member Tomo. This song shows off the boys amazing vocals with them all having parts to showcase their softer side alongside the sounds of piano and violins.

When listening to this track, you’ll be thinking of the sad scenes in a movie soundtrack.

OrβIT are a seven member Japanese-South Korean group that have had quite the ride. Heecho, Younghoon and Yoondong were all members of the K-pop group HALO, who had a string of releases between 2014 and 2019.

June competed in the Mnet show Produce x 101 but finished in 91st place.

They all then took part in the Japanese series Produce 101 Japan although the former members of HALO left the show due to personal reasons.

June, with trainees Tomo, Shunya and Yugo were all eliminated during the final show and went on to create the group we all now know as OrβIT.
