Hearts2Hearts, SM Entertainment's new girl group, officially debuted with their dreamy title track, “The Chase” on 24 February 2025.
Known for their mysterious and innovative concepts, SM Entertainment once again raises fan excitement and expectations with their new girl group, following their concept teaser release.
The music video for the title song “The Chase” follows the members of Hearts2Hearts as they experience a ‘mystical phenomenon,’ transporting them onto a new path. Making the bold decision, the members leave their bus, and explore the city—symbolizing their resolve in embracing a new path rather than traversing the one they were initially on.
The song captures listeners with layers of ethereal vocal harmonies—a signature seen in many SM entertainment songs—with a strong and unique bass synth track.
The lyrics: ‘Hop, my adventure // I'm taking the first step // It's all a mystery // I wanna know more about it,’ encourages the listeners to join the artists as they too step into a thrilling new journey with confidence.
The empowering lyrics: ‘온 힘을 다해 난 달려 (But I sprint as hard as I can) // 멈춰 서 있고 싶지 않아 (I don't wanna stop standing still)’ underline their perseverance to push through challenges. (English translations by Genius.)
The title track includes contributions from KENZIE (korean songwriter and producer) who has been involved in the production of songs like “Happiness” by Red Velvet and “Red Light” by f(x). Also garnering fan excitement was the involvement of British R&B artists, FLO in songwriting of the title track.
Hearts2Hearts, an eight-member group, is composed of Jiwoo, Carmen, Yuha, Stella, Juun, A-na, Ian and Ye-on. The group's debut comes five years after SM Entertainment’s last girl group, aespa.
Fans in the UK can watch Hearts2Hearts live performance at the SMTOWN Live 2025 concert in London taking place at Allianx Stadium Twickenham this June.
