After a lengthy wait of one year and eight months, the girls of EVERGLOW are back with their new single album ALL MY GIRLS, a comeback that — as member Aisha says — "we’ve all been waiting for”.

The group’s fans FOREVER have been rewarded for their loyalty with high quality performances and three new tracks to indulge in. The anticipation for this comeback has almost been unbearable but the time has allowed the members to perfect their abilities for an unforgettable release.

“SLAY”ing in 2023

The EP starts off with “SLAY”, a track that is not dissimilar from many of their hard-hitting previous releases. The song begins slowly, with a focus on light vocals and instrumentals before its pre-chorus build-up creates a buzz for the eventual beat drop. The chorus’ heavy drum beat and catchy chant packs a powerful punch that will leave a mark on listeners.

Whilst the track follows a style of production that is akin to songs like “Pirate” or “DUN DUN”, “SLAY” continues to prove that EVERGLOW’s focus on empowering women and being bold is still working for them. EVERGLOW enlisted the help of choreographer and Street Dance Girls Fighter star Jo Nain to meld their music and dance skills together for an addictive performance that even non-fans of the group will be entranced by. These girls truly came to slay every aspect of this track.

Second track “Oh Ma Ma God” takes on a more relaxed RnB feel, showcasing the girls’ varying talents. The track's electric guitar instrumental matched with a soothing energy work perfectly with the group’s sweet vocals. The lyrics capture the feeling of first falling for someone: “Stop it, baby, I don’t wanna beat about the bush (I don’t wanna) / We are alike, I’m falling into you (I don’t know)”.

The final track leads the EP out on an even lighter note. The almost retro vibe of the song makes “Make Me Feel” easily replayable. The fun synths and delicate piano provide the group with a backing that matches their relaxing vocals and impressive ad libs wonderfully. “Make Me Feel” could brighten the day of any FOREVER that may need an extra energy boost.

“We wanted to impress FOREVER once again… Please give a lot of support and love to EVERGLOW!”

To promote the comeback, EVERGLOW took to the stage at KCON LA to provide fans with an impressive performance. The tight choreography and ‘girl crush’ outfits were sure to make anyone present a fan. Whilst showing off their new title track was a priority for the group, EVERGLOW also performed a few of their older songs to please the audience.

EVERGLOW fans stick around FOREVER

FOREVER have taken to social media to express their excitement at the new EP and to show support for the girls. One avid fan says “I’m so happy EVERGLOW is back, I missed them so much”. Another showed elation at the bombardment of content from the group: “we got [an] EVERGLOW collab with another group, their whole content from KCON, slay studio choom and also slay [music video] behind”.

The three-track single may be quite short for a comeback that ends a hiatus that was over a year long but ALL MY GIRLS showcases every side of the girls’ talent. The performances and content released alongside the comeback should keep fans satisfied for a while before EVERGLOW are able to make a return with an even longer EP or hopefully a full-length album.
